Somebody please explain what is going on here.the installation files are for a 64 bit version. I don't understand what's going on here.unless the 32 bit BOOTSECT.EXE screwed things up? I tried it again, and again it gave me a 32 bit installation. I formatted my C drive, instaled windows 7 again.and BAM i'm stuck with what appears to be a 32 bit installation. They had a link to this program: and after i ran it, i was able to boot from the USB drive. Okay so i did some more searching and found a site where someone said windows 7 can't boot from external HDDs (or something similar). ![]()
